The information required for a quote depends on the project. However, providing as much detail as possible is recommended. Ideally, drawings and sketches are the most helpful, but for some projects, pictures and explanations can also work.
The turnaround time for a quote is usually 48 hours, although it may vary depending on the amount of information provided and the size of the project scope. However, the majority of quotes are returned within 1-2 working days.
The completion time for your project depends on the job’s complexity and requirements. Typically, once we have all the necessary information and the job is released for fabrication, it takes approximately two weeks to complete. However, this timeframe can vary depending on the project’s specific needs. For instance, a job that involves a single process, such as just cutting material, can take a day or two. Meanwhile, larger fabrication projects or those requiring special finishing or painting may take longer than two weeks.
We do not offer any special pricing structures for wholesale, commercial, or private work. All of our jobs are custom made-to-order, and pricing is determined at the time of request.
Absolutely. Although our primary focus is on commercial work, we also sell directly to individuals.s commercial we do work directly with individuals as well.
Yes, we have a shop minimum of $500.00.
Our business hours are from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. We are closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, but we are available for overtime work upon request.
We have experience working with a wide variety of metals. Our most commonly used materials are steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and brass. While we can usually accommodate specific alloy requests, it’s important to note that we do not stock all alloys. As a result, certain alloys may require additional costs.
We stock 3003 alloy for our sheet and plate stock up to 1/4″ thick, and typically stock 5052 alloy for thicknesses above 1/4″. While we commonly work with 6061 alloy, we do not stock it due to its hardness, which makes it difficult to bend.
We stock type 304 stainless steel in brushed, 2B, and mill finish. While we frequently work with type 316 alloy, we do not stock it.
We stock A36 steel in various finishes, including galvanized, paintlock, hot rolled, cold rolled, and hot rolled pickled & oiled.
We typically stock materials ranging from 20 gauge to 3/8″ in thickness for our stainless steel, steel, and aluminum.
We do not keep a standard stock of other items. However, we often have remnants of various types of materials and finishes available, ranging from pre-finished painted steel to mirror-finished brass, anodized aluminum, and textured metal.
We do not have an in-house engineer, but we can recommend an engineering firm we work with when required. Please note that any engineering services required will be added to our pricing if you do not have an engineer of your own.
While we can provide shop drawings for the items we fabricate and commonly assist in designing things, we do not offer a paid service for design work. If your project is in the conceptual stage, we are not equipped to provide design services. For instance, if you need a handrail made and have a general idea of what you want, we can assist you. However, if you have a complex concept for a widget that performs specific functions, we do not offer those kinds of design services.
Yes, we offer a 1-year written warranty upon request with our projects.
We are capable of providing field installation for most of our projects if required. However, it’s important to note that our primary focus is on custom metal fabrication and we don’t specialize in field installation. We typically don’t undertake very large installation projects, but we evaluate each case individually to determine if it’s feasible for us to provide installation services.
If we have fabricated something incorrectly, we prefer to provide the corrected item. However, if necessary, we can process a refund. Please note that we do not offer refunds if you simply decide that you do not like the fabricated item. Since all of our projects are custom-made, we do not have any stock to return items for resale later.
Unless noted otherwise or specifically requested, our dimensional tolerances are +/- 1/16″ and our angular tolerances are 1-2 degrees. We strive to be as accurate as possible, but if your tolerance requirements are much tighter than our standard tolerances, it could increase the cost of the project. On the other hand, if your tolerance requirements are higher than 1/16″, it could potentially save you money. Please specify your tolerance requirements when requesting a quote.
Payment for projects depends on whether you have an open account with us or are a new customer. If you have an open account, you can provide a purchase order (PO), and you will be billed after completion under the terms of your account. For large projects, a 50% deposit may be required as per company policy. If you would like to set up an account, please email your estimator, and they will send you the paperwork to get one established.
If you are a new customer or do not have an account, we require a 50% deposit to start work, with the remaining balance due upon completion. However, if you prefer, you can pay in full upfront.
We accept check and ACH for customers without an established account, and credit cards with a 3% fee. We do not accept cash payments as we are cashless.
It’s difficult to provide a cost per foot for custom-made items like countertops, flashing, or brake metal, as the price depends on the specific design, size, and quantity of the items. Smaller sections and lower quantities typically have a higher price per piece or per foot than larger quantities. Each project is unique and requires custom fabrication, so we don’t have any standard pricing for these types of items. Please request a quote for your specific project, and we’ll provide you with an accurate price estimate based on your requirements.
